Changes

Ever since VYC (Vietnamese Youth Conference) I find myself really growing and learning a lot about myself. I been really happy lately, but as I predicted, things are not gonna stay this peachy forever. I am still pretty happy and in a good place in my life, but now there are some unexpected struggles coming my way. This struggle however, is necessary in order for me to grow and I know God will never give a me a cross too heavy for me to carry.  This is my last semester at Divine Word College and I'm starting my application process for the Novitiate for the fall.  God definitely has a plan for me, and right  now my biggest challenge is discerning what is that plan God has for me.

This past weekend, the seniors took a trip to Omaha Nebraska to visit the Pink Adoration Sisters. One thing I discover from this trip was sitting in a car with 11 other people for 5 hours and spending 24/7 with them for the weekend was mentally exhausting. I  am usually a type of person who clings to people and large crowds but lately I notice I really enjoy my alone time.  One thing now that I have to discern that I never thought I would even consider is joining a  cloister religious order.  Living in a monastery intrigues me but I'm not sure how long I can live in solitude like that before I crack.  I really enjoy my alone time but then there a lot of times when I miss my time with my friends back at home. One thing I know is my brokenness from my childhood plays a big role in this. I really thought I overcame that brokenness but its coming back to me right now. I guess that brokenness will be that cross I have to carry for the rest of my life.
